Diana began her training at the Ballet School of Stamford in Connecticut before being accepted to study year-round at Canada's National Ballet School in Toronto, where she trained through high school, followed by one year in their Post-Secondary training program. She has spent summers at Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet, Kaatsbaan Extreme Ballet, and received scholarships to three summers with the Chautauqua School of Dance. Professionally, Diana has danced with Tulsa Ballet, the National Choreographic Initiative in Irvine CA, and Texas Ballet Theater. Over the course of her career she has performed works by Christopher Wheeldon, Twyla Tharp, Sir Kenneth MacMillan, George Balanchine, Glen Tetley, Ohad Naharin and multiple works by Ben Stevenson, among others. She currently works as a professional dancer with Ballet Dallas, Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet and ARC Dance.
Marisa is an American Ballet Theatre Training Curriculum certified teacher. She began her dance training at Wayne Ballet and Centre for Dance Arts in Wayne, Pennsylvania. She continued her pre-professional training with Brandywine Ballet Company, where she studied under Martha Chamberlain and Nancy Page. While there, She performed works by Meredith Rainey and George Balanchine. She continued her training with American Repertory Ballet, where she attended their trainee program for two years. She studied under Douglas Martin, Kathleen Moore, Maria Youskevitch, and Kirk Peterson. She performed in Douglas Martins A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Rite of Spring, and The Nutcracker. In the summer of 2016, Marisa received her teaching certification through American Ballet Theatre’s National Training Curriculum’s. In 2016, Marisa joined The Montgomery Ballet. She performed as Clara in The Nutcracker, Canary Fairy in The Sleeping Beauty, and an Odalisque in Le Corsaire. Since arriving in Dallas, Marisa has performed with Ballet Dallas, Anita N. Martinez Ballet Folklorico, the Sarah Matzke Movement Collective, and is in her first season as a company member with Ballet Dallas and Dallas Neoclassical Ballet.
Emily trained for ten years at Studio Maestro (now Manhattan Youth Ballet) in New York City, studying with Francois Perron, Deborah Wingert, Marina Stavitskaya and Fabrice Herrault, among others. She also trained at LaGuardia High School for the Performing Arts in ballet and Graham modern technique. She attended summer intensives and spent her senior year of high school at Miami City Ballet School. Emily was awarded annual dance scholarships while attending Goucher College in Baltimore, MD, where she earned her BA, double majoring in Physics and Psychology. While there, she had the honor of dancing Second Violin in George Balanchine’s Concerto Barocco, and performed in works restaged by choreographers Jessica Lang, Pascal Rioult, and Christopher Fleming. She also danced in new works by Gina Patterson, Emory LeCrone, Amy Seiwert, Brian Reeder, and Zippora Karz. Emily moved to Dallas in 2014 and has had the pleasure of working with Mejia Ballet International, Dallas Neo-Classical Ballet, and Ballet Concerto. She is excited to begin her fourth season with Ballet Dallas.
Whitney is excited to begin her fifth season with Ballet Dallas. She graduated Summa Cum Laude from Oklahoma City University earning her Bachelors of Performing Arts in Dance Performance and a minor in History. Throughout the year she performs with many companies and freelances at different entertainment Industrials. In previous seasons with Ballet Dallas she has performed in ensemble and soloist roles for their fall and spring concerts. She has completed two summers as a full-time ensemble dancer for the National Mary Kay Seminar in Downtown Dallas. When not performing concert dance, Whitney works on expanding her film experience. She has filmed a Texas Lottery commercial and appeared as an extra in USA Network's Queen of the South. She is the principal dancer in Polyphia's music video, Nightmare, and earlier in 2017 she wrapped on the role of Melanie in Stuck, an independent film directed by Jenni Tooley and filmed in Dallas. Whitney is also a dance instructor at Lifesong Studios in Grapevine and Park Cities Dance in Dallas.
Kaley was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Brigham Young University, where she graduated with a major in dance and minor in business. While there, she performed and toured with the Theatre Ballet Company. Kaley has had the privilege of
training on scholarship at programs such as the San Francisco Conservatory of Dance and Ballet West, as well as becoming a Fletcher Pilates Certified Instructor. In May, Kaley completed her MFA in Dance from the University of Arizona, where she deepened her
passion for performing, educating and choreographing. Since graduating, Kaley has enjoyed freelancing with dance projects and companies including Ballet Dallas. She looks forward to pursuing her professional career with her husband in Dallas.
Kendall started her dance training at Fort Bend Academy of Dance under Michael Banigan in Houston, Texas. At age 12, she was invited into their pre-professional ballet company, BalletForte, where she performed in full-length productions and attended Regional Dance of America annually. Kendall attended Southern Methodist University where she earned her B.F.A in Dance Performance from Meadows School of the Arts. She continues to gain inspiration from her past experiences which include training with Boston Ballet and Complexions Contemporary Ballet and performing as a dancer in the South Africa tour of the SMU produced opera, Wading Home.
Laura grew up in Southlake, Texas where she trained with Texas Ballet Theater School, Dallas Campus. Her training also includes numerous summer intensives with companies such as Texas Ballet Theater, Dallas Black Dance Theater, Joffrey Ballet, and Hubbard Street Dance Chicago. She also attended Boulder Jazz Dance Workshop, Beginnings Workshop in New York, and Radio City Rockette Summer Intensive. Laura graduated Magna Cum Laude from The University of Arizona with a BFA in Dance and a BA in Mathematics. While at Arizona, she performed works by James Clouser, Amy Ernst, Sam Watson, Douglas Nielsen, Michael Williams and Susan Quinn-Williams. She also had the privilege of performing George Balanchine’s Allegro Brilliante and Rubies, Martha Graham’s Panorama, and Sherry Zunker’s Evolution of a Dream. Other professional work includes Larrwell Productions, On the Fly Productions, Zion Dance Project, DIFFA Dallas, Wanderlust Dance Project, and an international tour to China in Art.if.Act Dance Project's “The Great American Dance Tour.” Currently, she is also a member of 6 o'Clock Dance Theatre.
Libby West is from San Antonio, Texas. She received her early training from Susan Connally, Esther Mayer, and continued at Ballet San Antonio Academy. She attended summer programs at American Ballet Theatre and Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet. After graduating from Baylor University with a Bachelor of Science in Education, Libby was a trainee with American Repertory Ballet. While at ARB, she trained with Mary Barton, Kathleen Moore, and Maria Youskevitch and performed with the company and with Princeton Ballet School. In 2015, Libby joined the Montgomery Ballet under the direction of Joseph Villalobos. With the company, she performed as Snow Queen and Arabian in the Nutcracker, the Every Valley Pas de Deux in Villalobos’ Messiah, Titania in a Midsummer Nights Dream, Fairy of the Crystal Fountain in Sleeping Beauty, and Don Quixote Pas de Deux. Libby is excited to join Ballet Dallas this season!
Lea is originally from northern New Jersey. She had most of her ballet training from Master Gabriella Darvash, as well as the Joffrey Ballet School in New York City. She has danced with various classical and contemporary ballet companies such as Metropolitan Classical Ballet, Dayton Ballet, Roxey Ballet, and Repertory Dance Theatre. Some of her favorite repertory includes principal and leading roles in Scheherazade, Paquita, Bolero, Gaite Parisienne, Le Train Bleu, Walpurgisnacht, Les Sylphides, Christopher Fleming's The Three Musketeers, Septime Webre's Peter Pan, as well as versions of Dracula, Othello, and too many Nutcrackers to remember. Lea has had many ballets choreographed for her while dancing for Ballet Dallas: Shelton-Tabor’s Firebird, Holmes’ Man O Tuand, Ne Me Quitte Pas, Bowman’s Pride and Joy, just to name a few.
